QuoteHero Segments User Guide

Segment Types

Segments in QuoteHero allow you to include various portions of a travel itinerary. The available segment types are:

• Flight
• Hotel
• Activity
• Transfer
• Cruise
• Tour
• Train
• Car Hire
• Ferry
• Miscellaneous

Adding Segments

To add a segment, click on the appropriate button in the "Manually Add a Segment" section of the quote. You can also use AI Revision to add and modify segments.

Segment Creation Menu

Clicking to add a segment will open the Segment Creation Menu. Here, you can add properties for the segment. The standard properties for each segment include:

• Title: The name of the segment.
• Start Date: The date the segment begins.
• End Date: The date the segment ends.
• Start Time: The time the segment begins.
• End Time: The time the segment ends.
• Start Location: The location where the segment starts.
• End Location: The location where the segment ends.
• Description: A detailed description of the segment.
• Cost: The cost associated with the segment.
• Brand/Supplier: The brand or supplier of the segment.
• Images: Images associated with the segment.
• Files: Files associated with the segment.
• Internal Notes: Notes for internal use only; these will not appear to the client.

Where applicable, you can also input:

• Cabin Class/Room Type: The class or type of room or cabin.
• Flight Number: The flight number for flight segments.

Adding Images

You can add one or more images to each segment. To add images, either click to upload from your computer or drag/paste the image into the images box. Once uploaded, you can remove images by clicking the red X.

Adding Files

You can add files to each segment. To add files, either click to upload from your computer or drag/paste the file into the files box. Once uploaded, you can remove files by clicking the red X.

Cruise, Tour, and Train Itineraries

For cruises, tours, and trains, it is possible to add a day-by-day itinerary. To do this, click "Add [Segment Type] Day" at the bottom of the Segment Creation Menu. This will add a day with fields for:

• Destination (optional): The destination for the day.
• Description: A description of the day's activities.

You can re-order days by dragging them into the order you prefer. You can remove days by clicking the red trash icon.

Finalizing the Segment

After you're happy with your configuration, click "Add [Segment Type]" to add the segment to your quote.

Editing Segments

You can edit segments by clicking the pencil icon on a given segment. This will open a similar menu to the adding segment menu.

Removing Segments

To remove a segment, click the three vertical dots in the upper right of the segment, and then click the delete button.

Expanding/Collapsing Segments

You can view segments either in the expanded or collapsed view. The expanded view shows all of the fields for a given segment, while the collapsed view shows only key data, creating a more streamlined and readable version of the itinerary.

To expand/collapse an individual segment, click the up/down caret in the upper right of the segment.

To expand/collapse all segments in the itinerary, use the Expand All/Collapse All button at the top of the itinerary.

Re-ordering Segments

To re-order segments, drag the segment you want to move to the place you want it to be in the itinerary.
