QuoteHero Insurance Options Guide

Insurance Options

In QuoteHero, you have three settings for sharing insurance options with your clients:

  • Insurance Warning/ Waiver: Advises the client of the risks of not purchasing travel insurance and suggests contacting you for a quote.
  • Insurance Quote: Allows you to include a detailed insurance quote in the itinerary.
  • Omitting Insurance: Option to hide the insurance section entirely from the quote.

This guide will walk you through each option.

Including an Insurance Warning

By default, your quote will include a boilerplate insurance warning. This advises the client of some of the risks of not purchasing travel insurance and suggests that they contact you for a quote.

Changing the Insurance Warning

  1. Click the pencil icon in the upper right of the insurance section.
  2. Make the necessary edits in the warning field.
  3. Click Save to apply your changes.

Including an Insurance Quote

QuoteHero makes it easy to include an insurance quote in your itinerary. Follow these steps to add an insurance quote:

  1. Click the pencil icon in the upper right of the insurance section.

  2. Toggle the "Include Insurance Quote" switch to On.

  3. Fill out the details for your insurance quote. Available fields include:

    • Insurer: The company providing the insurance.
    • Policy Level: The level of coverage provided.
    • Policy Type: Choose between a trip or annual policy.
    • Price: The cost of the insurance policy.
    • Pax Covered: Number of passengers covered by the policy.
    • Coverage Start and End Date: The period during which the policy is active.
    • Excess: The amount the client must pay before the insurance covers the rest.
    • Cancellation Coverage Amount: The amount covered in case of trip cancellation.
    • Destinations Covered: Locations included in the insurance coverage.
    • Extra Coverages: Any additional coverages included in the policy.
    • Client Notes: Notes visible to the client.
    • Internal Notes: Notes not visible to the client.
  4. After adding these details, click Save to save the insurance settings.

Omitting Insurance Entirely

To hide the insurance section completely:

  1. Click the pencil icon in the insurance section.
  2. Toggle the "Omit Insurance Section" switch to On.
  3. Click Save to apply your changes.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage how insurance options are presented to your clients in QuoteHero.
